Grain Free Tuna Patties

Monday is the first day back from a weekend. That means we spend the day in school work (we homeschool), and my son has therapy. It is a busy day for us, and I need a quick meal. The tuna patties are quick, easy, and delicious.

I usually serve these with homemade french fries or a salad and veggies. They are filling, delicious, and all four of my children like them! I like to buy the tuna from Aldi. It is wild caught and is only $1.18 a can.

How To Make Tuna Patties

Tuna patties are so easy. Drain the tuna and place it in a medium size mixing bowl, and add the remaining ingredients. Use your hand to combine the tuna, eggs, almond flour, and seasonings. Shape into a log, cut the log in half with your hands. Use half of the log and break it apart into 5 equal balls. Flatten the ball in your hands, making a patty shape.

Place the patties in a pre-heated oiled skillet. Cook for 4 minutes.

Flip patties over when golden brown on the bottom. Cook for 4 more minutes. Place patties on a paper towel lined plate, and repeat process with the remaining patties. Enjoy!

  • 4 5 oz can tuna
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp dried chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 2-4 tbsp coconut oil


  • Preheat skillet with 2 tbsp coconut oil, on medium heat. Open cans of tuna, and drain the liquid. Place tuna in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Using your hands, combine ingredients, and divide into 10 equal balls. Flatten into patty shape and place several of them into the pan. Cook for 4 minutes each side. Place on paper towel lined plate. Add 2 tbsp coconut oil to the pan. Repeat cooking process with remaining tuna patties. Enjoy.
